Using Sumac in my kitchen for the first time!
Its lemony, astringent flavour is nicely balanced with other dried herbs used in the recipe below. I am in love in this nutty, tangy, herbal blend of spices.
- 2 TBS sesame seeds (can be lightly toasted)
- 2 TBS Sumac
- 2 TBS dried thyme
- 1 TBS dried marjoram
- 1 TBS dried oregano (optional)
Just mix all ingredients in a jar or grind them. Store in dark place in air tight container or jar.
Sprinkle on salads, fish, avocado on toast, hummus, add into the wraps… so many choices! 🙂
