VANILLA HAZELNUT MILK

photo-25.JPGI forgot how easy is to make your own nut milk at home. It is so creamy and tastes so much nicer than ready made milks from shop. You just need a nut milk bag or the finest strainer you can find.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup hazelnuts (soaked overnight)
  • 900-1000 ml filtered water
  • 1 tsp ground vanilla
  • 1 TBS agave nectar
  • pinch of pink salt (optional)

METHOD

Soak hazelnuts overnight. When ready, pour out water and rinse.

Pour filtered  water into the blender, add nuts and blend until all are grounded (for about 40 seconds). Strain milk to a big bowl and pour liquid back to the blender. Add vanilla, agave nectar and pinch of pink salt (if using). Blend again for 10 seconds.

Keep milk in a sterilised, sealed glass bottle or container for up to four days. Shake before use.
